Nominations are currently being accepted for the Honda Inspiration Award to be given at the Detroit High School Sports Awards.

What is the Inspiration Award? It’s an award designed to honor a coach, teacher, or administrator who has inspired student athletes. The best part? The person who will win this will be nominated by a student athlete.

Student-athletes are asked to write a short summary on which adult (coach, administrator, etc.) they are nominating, why, and how they have impacted their life and send it to Dana Sulonen ,at dsulonen@gannett.com. Please put “Inspiration Award nomination” in the subject line.

Nominations will be accepted until 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30, 2024. The winner will be announced during the live show on June 18 at The Fillmore Detroit.
